About the directory

The London Early Years Foundation (LEYF)

Our directory provides information on thousands of social businesses and enterprises from all over the world. It includes companies of all shapes and sizes from large multinationals to small not for profit organisations driving social and environmental benefits to their communities. Scroll down for information on how to use the directory as well as the benefits being listed can bring.

Using the directory

If you're interested in finding out more about the emerging social economy, or contacting a business, our directory serves as a useful research tool. You can search for businesses by name, industry, location and the social environmental benefit generated to ensure you contact those companies which interest you most.

If you run, or work for, a social business or enterprise, meanwhile, this is an opportunity to raise your profile, connect with other social ventures and potential partners and receive a number of benefits through being on the ClearlySo directory. You are welcome to apply for your business to be listed. The process is free and takes just a few minutes. All you need to do is include the following information:

• A short company description (no more than 200 characters).
• Details of your social impact (no more than 250 characters).
• A list of your social benefits (no more than three).

Once you've completed the form and sent in your application, we evaluate your business against our social business and enterprise definitions. Only once we're fully satisfied your business meets our criteria will we list your business on our site. We will contact you within a few days to let you know if you have been successful. If, for any reason, we decline your application, you are welcome to challenge our decision. Send any supporting information in and if we'll reconsider your application.

The benefits of listing on ClearlySo 

Once listed on our directory, you will be eligible for a number of benefits:

• ClearlySo Social Business Bulletins: A fortnightly newsletter with all the latest social enterprise developments, expert commentary, interviews and analysis.
• Industry and social sector intelligence: Information on funding opportunities, competitions, policy and news specific to your social enterprise's area of expertise.

For just £200 per year you, and your colleagues will be eligible for a wide range of services such as two hours of free consultancy, discounts to ClearlySo events and access to 'how to' guides written by leading industry experts.
